systems supplier that supplies HVAC to leading OEMs. 

Challenge: 

To understand the impact of various subsystems’ operating parameters that affect life & efficiency of the automotive HVAC system to provide better value and comfort to their customers.
Solution: 

A single device that has provision to measure 20 temp points including the motor brush temp, differential pressure across evaporator filter, refrigerant pressure at suction and discharge of the compressor. The device communicates via Wi-Fi/GSM to transport data to cloud. Time series data along with regression analysis of the parameters is provided by back-end analytics.

Benefits: 

Two test vehicles, one in the south and another in west India, are currently running and providing rich real time information and aiding diagnostics for better product design and quality. A future expected benefit is for the company to earn revenue through a productized version of the solution by offering it to the OEMs.
